Hear me

Lord, hear me.
Forget my sins,
and hear me.

Take this pain from my heart.
Make me forget what has passed.
Please, I beg You,
make me forget.

My tears are like
the nocturnal storms of winter;
they fall violently
like rain driven by a gale.
The world sleeps,
but You see every drop that falls.

Decree, Lord, the end of my anguish,
and so it shall be.
Command that peace visit my heart,
and so it shall be.
Ordain the end of the storm,
and so it shall be.

For Your voice is greater than my
suffering,
and Your grace is greater than my
sin.

May my weeping find
the joy of Your morning.
May my dark night find
Your light.
May the ashes of my past
be carried away by the wind like a gust.
